Drink Less and Live Well

As you may have read in my blog, I am keen to see others cut down on what they drink, to show how much better it makes you feel. This has now started even in my place of work!

My employer, Cheshire West and Chester Council, have recently launched a campaign to make people aware of how much alcohol they are drinking and the effects it has on your health. The campaign is called ‘Drink Less and Live Well’ and shows people in clear terms what ‘binge’ drinking, or going over the recommended daily allowance could do to you.

By creating clever marketing items (for example, a glass with unit measures on the side) and running road shows in work locations, they can reach out to people and hopefully send the message home that over indulging in alcohol isn’t any good for you.

I think it’s very positive that a company is taking steps to alert their employees of the danger too much drink can have.
