11 weeks in and I've had my first night out in the city without drinking. What a scary place it is to a sober person. Drunks are everywhere shouting and screaming. Police stopping fights, riot vans speeding through the streets to breakup more skirmishes. And this is all before 9.30pm.
Another first for the non-alcohol challenge this evening was going out with work. A Friday night out after a week in the office would usually involve copious amounts of beer and me making a tit of myself. Not anymore. My rock 'n' roll lifestyle now consists of polite conversation and green tea. I've never ordered a green tea in a pub before. It seems that tonight has been about many firsts.
I've noticed that many people from all over the world are reading this blog. Thanks, it's very kind of you. I'd love to know who is reading. Maybe you would like to comment on this post to show where you're from?
